DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Our client is an established manufacturer in plastic solutions for industrial and life science applications. They are currently looking for a Director of Operations to join their team. The role is responsible for the full scope of operations within the manufacturing facility including, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Planning / Scheduling, Shipping and Receiving, and Distribution Center oversight. Additional responsibilities include facilitating and directing the continuous improvement of the plant’s operational performance as it relates to quality, productivity, on time delivery, inventory investment, and cost controls. This position reports to the Managing Director.

To be considered for the Director of Operations position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree with focus on Operations Management or related technical field; Engineering degree preferred. Material Science background a plus.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in operations management within a
  manufacturing organization.
• Successful track record of developing processes, standard work, operational excellence
  and people in a “lean” culture.
• Must have thorough understanding of Lean Manufacturing and DMAIC.
